About our speaker: Adam Karlen, DNP, RN, NEA-BC.
Adam is the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. In his role, Adam serves as member of the Southdale executive leadership team, along with his executive partners Robert Firestone, Vice President of Operations, Dr. Dan Frechette, Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Bryan Gaffy, Chief Operating Officer – Acute Care Community Hospitals. Adam and his colleagues support accountability at Southdale for clinical quality and patient safety, strategy, operations, people engagement, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, customer experience, and more. Adam holds a doctorate in nursing leadership from the University of Minnesota, a board certification in advanced nursing leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
