“Catch
the Passion and Pass It On”
Summer is upon
us and we all have our own memories and love of the season.
Some enjoy the
relaxation on the lake, the thrill of cheering at a child’s ball
game, sitting in the hammock with a great book, or telling
stories around a campsite.
We want to savor this season for as long as possible!
On May 13, the
Taste of Edina was a success.
The rain disappeared and the many guests enjoyed
wonderful food, beer and wine at Centennial Lakes for the annual
event. Thank you to
all who participated – guests, restaurants, and the beer and
wine distributors.
Without all of you, this would not be the success it is.
On May 26…a
beautiful day at Interlachen Country Club, we packed the dining
room with excitement and celebration.
Thank you to Tim McNiff of KARE 11 for being this year’s
Annual Meeting emcee.
Every year I am impressed with the individuals recognized
for their commitment, success and energy.
This year was no exception.
Congratulations go out to the following individuals:
Business Person of the Year:
Bradley Beard
WISE Person of the Year:
Janie Braufman
Volunteer of the Year:
Rebecca Hopf
Teacher of the Year:
Martha Cosgrove
High School Scholarship Recipients:
Julie Sierks, Caitlin Morris, and Danielle Whitbeck
Lastly, I would
like to personally recognize and thank Jeff Holds of Phoenix
Technology Solutions for his hard work and commitment to the
chamber this past year as Board Chair.
He has done a fantastic job leading, introducing
prospects to the organization and moving the chamber forward in
a very positive direction.
Of course this success is not possible without the
strength of the staff as well.
Thank you to Arrie, Lisa, Erica and Laurie for all their
efforts to grow and make this chamber an organization of which
we can all be proud.
Enjoy your
summer and your Chamber.
Sincerely,
Sarah Kostial
